Wednesday Morning's Short Lucid Dreams

I woke up at about 5am this morning as usual, and it took a long time to get to back to sleep, though I did take some melatonin which helped. Afterwards, there were a couple of brief lucid dreams.

I ended up in a dream where I was in my room, and the lighting was strangely dim. For some reason I started to think about how I would describe the action of trying to fly in dream, so I could write a post about it here on Lucid Dream Realities. As I was thinking about this, I came to the conclusion as I have before, about what the method is that makes dream flight possible (at least for me).

I realized once again that what you've got to do is concentrate on something outside of yourself; that's what gives you the power to do it. For me it's the thought that the dream itself is actually pulling me upwards.

So as I was thinking about this, I was shocked when I actually started rising towards the ceiling, because I really thought it was real! I also remember that as I touched the ceiling I said aloud in the dream something to the effect of "I can't believe I'm really dreaming right now". It was weird to yell and yet know that in real life I wasn't making a sound.

However, I already felt how fragile the dream was, as if I was barely in it. I either woke up right afterwards, or went straight into another dream. Later on, I had other very brief lucid dreams which only lasted seemingly a couple minutes each.

The only other dream I can remember right now was where I was inside a building in this mall type area, and I had been having a conversation with someone. There was this escalator I rode, which was on a strangely steep incline. When I got to the top I gained lucidity, and quickly headed straight for the nearest wall. At that point I was so sure it was a dream that I knew I had the power to easily pass through walls, which I did with surprising ease.

Afterwards, I had a false awakening, but the strange thing was that I woke up for real just seconds later. Anyways, not one of my interesting dreams, but I wanted to write it down before I forgot.
