Strange Version Of Recurring Highway Dream

This morning, I had a strange dream. I have recurring dreams where I'm going somewhere on a highway, and there's lots of cars on the road. The highway always has something strange about it, like it will have too many overpasses and underpasses, or be broken.

Last night's dream was sort of similar. I remember that I was going down a road which became a broad highway. However, I wasn't travelling in a car; I was running on foot. As I progressed, the path became wider and I noticed there kept being more and more cars.

Then, in that way in which dreams usually transform over time, it changed to where the cars were no longer there, and everyone was on foot. All of this took place in the matter of nothing but a few seconds. Now, the road had become this broad, grated metal pathway that began to incline. It almost seemed like something from the video game F-Zero GX. As I kept walking, it became harder to go forward.

This path I was on kept inclining to a further degree, until it was almost impossible to climb. I started to feel like it might become dangerous. A lot of people that were hundreds of feet in front of me began to complain that the highway path wouldn't end, but seemed to extend forever into the sky. Many of them started to turn back.

After a little while of this, I too realized it was pointless because it turned out that the pathway goes on forever. So I headed back down.

It was all really abstract, but yet strangely realistic. Other things happened later in the dream that didn't make much sense, and after a few minutes I woke up.
