I woke up at about 5am this morning as usual, and it took a long time to get to back to sleep, though I did take some melatonin which helped. Afterwards, there were a couple of brief lucid dreams.
I ended up in a dream where I was in my room, and the lighting was strangely dim. For some reason I started to think about how I would describe the action of trying to fly in dream, so I could write a post about it here on Lucid Dream Realities. As I was thinking about this, I came to the conclusion as I have before, about what the method is that makes dream flight possible (at least for me).
I realized once again that what you've got to do is concentrate on something outside of yourself; that's what gives you the power to do it. For me it's the thought that the dream itself is actually pulling me upwards.
So as I was thinking about this, I was shocked when I actually started rising towards the ceiling, because I really thought it was real! I also remember that as I touched the ceiling I said aloud in the dream something to the effect of "I can't believe I'm really dreaming right now". It was weird to yell and yet know that in real life I wasn't making a sound.
However, I already felt how fragile the dream was, as if I was barely in it. I either woke up right afterwards, or went straight into another dream. Later on, I had other very brief lucid dreams which only lasted seemingly a couple minutes each.
The only other dream I can remember right now was where I was inside a building in this mall type area, and I had been having a conversation with someone. There was this escalator I rode, which was on a strangely steep incline. When I got to the top I gained lucidity, and quickly headed straight for the nearest wall. At that point I was so sure it was a dream that I knew I had the power to easily pass through walls, which I did with surprising ease.
Afterwards, I had a false awakening, but the strange thing was that I woke up for real just seconds later. Anyways, not one of my interesting dreams, but I wanted to write it down before I forgot.

Strange Version Of Recurring Highway Dream
This morning, I had a strange dream. I have recurring dreams where I'm going somewhere on a highway, and there's lots of cars on the road. The highway always has something strange about it, like it will have too many overpasses and underpasses, or be broken.
Last night's dream was sort of similar. I remember that I was going down a road which became a broad highway. However, I wasn't travelling in a car; I was running on foot. As I progressed, the path became wider and I noticed there kept being more and more cars.
Then, in that way in which dreams usually transform over time, it changed to where the cars were no longer there, and everyone was on foot. All of this took place in the matter of nothing but a few seconds. Now, the road had become this broad, grated metal pathway that began to incline. It almost seemed like something from the video game F-Zero GX. As I kept walking, it became harder to go forward.
This path I was on kept inclining to a further degree, until it was almost impossible to climb. I started to feel like it might become dangerous. A lot of people that were hundreds of feet in front of me began to complain that the highway path wouldn't end, but seemed to extend forever into the sky. Many of them started to turn back.
After a little while of this, I too realized it was pointless because it turned out that the pathway goes on forever. So I headed back down.
It was all really abstract, but yet strangely realistic. Other things happened later in the dream that didn't make much sense, and after a few minutes I woke up.

Recent Short Lucid Dream
Several nights ago, I had a funny little lucid dream.
All I've been able to remember is that somehow I ended up out in front of my home by my car. It was early morning outside and the sun was just rising. I can't remember how, but I suddenly knew it was a dream. A certain famous political figure whom I don't want to mention on Lucid Dream Realities was there, and for some reason, him and I got into a fight. It continued for a probably just a few seconds, and when I had won, he started shouting at me.
At that point I just walked away, because I was a little bit scared of what he might try to do to me. He was saying things that didn't make any sense.
After I was maybe about 50 feet away, I realized "Hey, I don't have to stay here. This is my lucid dream and I can go wherever I want to go". So at that point I started flying over the road which didn't have any cars on it. I was probably about 15 feet about the ground.
I began thinking, and I remembered how I had woken up before, and had seen what time it was. While I was in the dream, I reasoned that it must be about 7am, and that I wanted to go ahead and wake myself up. So just for fun I started to fly as fast as I possibly could to end the dream. I got up to what felt like hundreds of miles an hour, and actually had to close my eyes because it was so intense.
Anyways, when I woke up I looked at my watch. Guess what time it was? just a few minutes after 7am! No kidding. Don't ask me how I knew.

Annoying False Awakening Teaches Me A Lesson
For the past few months, I've had a recurring dream that I wake up and I'm lying in bed. Somehow I become lucid, either because of remembering the previous dream, or perhaps the cause is unknown.
I suddenly have the urge to get up out of bed, but as soon as I turn to my left, I realize that there's a problem with my vision. It's as if it's impossible for me to look around, and I can only see what I would see if I was still lying on my back.
To cut a long story short, it's gotten to the point where lately I'll just attempt to fly up from my bed so I can get up and explore my lucid dream. However, there have been some problems with that too. So the other night, as I was trying to do this, I accidentally woke my self up in the process. I mean, as soon as I moved my head I instantly went from dream to reality.
Well, the next morning when I once again entered the false awakening lucid dream, I remembered the previous mistake I had made in the dream the morning before. So what I did this time was easy. I simply layed there, knowing full well that if I patiently waited long enough, that dream would fall apart and I would enter another dream.
I kept that thought in mind, and as I did so, the dream did indeed change. It's been an important lesson to me once again, not to try to change the dream so fast, but instead to ease back and go along for the ride!

Calm In The Storm Dream
Alright, this is my first post and there's a ton of stuff to get to, a whole lot to catch up on. But first, before I get to all of that, I don't want to forget a couple cool little dreams I've had recently. I do want to let you know that not all of these posts will cover lucid dreams. Some of them are merely very vivid, or interesting, or just cool.
Several nights ago, I had a dream in the early morning that struck me because of it's sheer vividness. I was in my room, and I looked out of one of the windows near my bed. I saw some rain clouds, and the lighting outside looked just like early morning light sometimes does when it's about to rain.
I remember seeing a little lightning, but there was this pleasant feeling, a nice mood that came over me, and I enjoyed it. A little while later, I was in another area of my home, in the living room near the door, and I looked outside and it was really storming. There were these strange clouds I saw that came almost all the way down to the ground, but instead of feeling panic, I thought it was really cool for some reason, though I would never reason that way IRL.
So anyways, then I looked and realized that the windows I was seeing out of were totally different than in real life. They stretched from one end of the living room to the other. The windows also didn't have any gaps between them. They weren't very tall, but seemed very thick, and I got right up to one of them, near the front door, right as the wind started to really blow the rain in torrents against it. A very vivid dream.
It was a cool feeling, cause I felt like I was perfectly safe from the crazy storm outside:)
